Opera has taken a big step in enabling collaboration between users without the need for third-party facilitators, leaving behind the likes of Google and Microsoft.
The new Unite application embedded within the Opera 10 browser lets a user turn the browser into a virtual web server. The idea behind Unite is to remove the dependency on third-party servers while collaborating with others so that users do not lose control over their data. Read more
